Important Request to all the Members of Namef, Nera, NWHS and Arab Breeders and any other Horse lover.
The Italian has made it possible that we can
test the antibody titre of AHS and do virus
isolation of AHS. Their work in AHS is of
great importance to us and they request the
following information, please respond.
1. Please report any Horse that died due to
AHS to us. All information will be treated confidental. This information is needed to draw up a statistic report on the AHS situation in Namibia. The information can be send to wvet@mweb.com.na or spath@iway.na of fax it to 061-221743 Thank you for your co-operation |

The first case of AHS is confirmed as positive at the RVS! A second case
is also confirmed as AHS positive in Walvis Bay. We will thus close the doors completely for the next 4 – 6 weeks. |

| One case at Spitzkoppe, horse belonging to local farmers, informed state vet but they did not take samples to confirm whether and which strain of AHS. Mare that died with dikkop symptoms, thats all I know. Farm Vervoer. |
